When buying our house in Italy, we came into contact with Marieke Boot.
Marieke speaks Italian very well and is very well informed about all the ins and outs of buying real estate in Italy. Our house is located in Montefiore dell’Aso.
We bought the house through a German "broker". The handover was determined on October 15, 2020. Marieke has been in contact with the notary in Fermo beforehand. She translated and checked the purchase deed for us. And that was a good thing.
We couldn't draw like that.
In order to get all these matters resolved, Marieke arranged an impartial proxy for us, who, if the deed of sale was made correctly, could sign for us. It was Corona time and we had no idea how long the improvement procedures would take.
The sellers were given a respite from us until the end of April 2021. As time progressed and we did not see any progress in the whole process, we sent an official letter to the selling parties with the help of Marieke. In clear language and also that it would cost them a lot of money if no progress was made now.
That helped. Suddenly there were several people busy.
In the end , it turned out well, we became the owners on April 29, 2021.
We would never have successfully completed this bizarre purchase without Marieke's expert advice, good advice and excellent Italian.
